The University Writing Program (UWP) is a faculty development program situated in the Center for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching (CEUT). Coordinated by faculty development consultant Monique Dufour, UWP is dedicated to two primary missions: 

1. Pedagogical Support

UWP promotes learning experiences in which students use writing to make meaning and to share it with others in authentic intellectual environments.

2. Faculty as Writers

UWP supports faculty as writers.  The program creates opportunities for faculty to develop sane, productive writing lives and to work in a community of writers. As faculty members learn about their own writing, they are also encouraged to apply their insights to their teaching.
