Process

When to submit applications

CEUT accepts grant applications twice each academic year, once in October and once in March.  October applications will cover projects that are funded during the spring semester and first summer session.  March applications cover projects that are funded during second summer session and the fall semester.  Deadlines are as follows:

      Academic year 2007-2008

  • Monday, October 22, 2007, 5:00 PM
  • Monday, March 10, 2008, 5:00 PM

      Academic year 2008-2009

  • Monday, October 20, 2008, 5:00 PM
  • Monday, March 15, 2009, 5:00 PM

Proposal components

CEUT has streamlined the proposal process to the extent possible.  Only three components are required as follows:

  1. Cover Page.  Please download and complete the attached Grant Application Form, which will serve as the cover page for the grant application.
  1. Project Summary.  Please provide a two-page project summary that addresses the review criteria described in the next section.  (Note:  Mini-Grants require only a one page summary
  1. Departmental Endorsement.  Please provide a letter or memo from the department head or designee which speaks to the relevance/importance of the project in relation to the department or college instructional program. (Not required for Mini-Grants)

Delivery

Finally, please mail or deliver seven (7) copies of the proposal to the Center for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, 111 Hillcrest Hall, campus mail code 0453.
