University Writing Program
The University Writing Program (UWP) is a faculty development program situated in the Center for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching (CEUT) and is dedicated to two primary missions:
- Pedagogical Support: UWP promotes learning experiences in which students use writing to make meaning and to share it with others in authentic intellectual environments.
- Faculty as Writers: UWP supports faculty as writers. The program creates opportunities for faculty to develop sane, productive writing lives and to work in a community of writers. As faculty members learn about their own writing, they are also encouraged to apply their insights to their teaching.
Please note that the UWP has lost its director; Monique Dufour has taken a position elsewhere. Her presence will be sorely missed. In the meantime, as we search for a new Director of the University Writing Program, please be patient will us as we have suspended the UWP program until that position is filled.
